February Open Competition Results

Welcome back to the beginning of the 2018 Maitland Camera Club year for our regular members and a huge welcome to our new members!

It is great to see our new members entering images in their first MCC competition and snagging some places and HC’s. Well done and we hope that you have many more images in the ready to present to us.

Invitation to contribute to the Newcastle Show

Would you like a challenge?

At the Newcastle Show, over the period 2nd – 4th March 2018, members of local photo clubs have been invited to produce photo/journalist genre photography of the Show’s activities.

Are you willing to donate your time and photographic skills to provide this service to the Newcastle Show organisers?

You will help local photographic clubs gain exposure. You will help the Newcastle Show organisers through your voluntary service. The Newcastle Show has a significant number of volunteers who willingly support the organisation to a point where a lot of the activities, and the way in which they are presented, help make the Show a success – due to the volunteers.

You may even get your name up in lights as the author of photographs. You will get to meet a whole range of people. You will be helping the community.

The Show Office Media Offical will manage the imagery you produce and, aside from the historical nature of the photography, they plan on using images for a live social media feed through out the weekend.

If you’re interested or have any questions, please contact me by COB Friday 16 Feb 18 (email, phone or face-to-face) and I will provide more detail.
