The aim of the Photo Hunt is to have members of the Maitland Camera Club wander the streets of Maitland armed with six themed categories and have a fun filled few hours with friends to hunt for images which they feel will suit each category. This will be done within a two week timeframe. Once the images are entered, they will be judged and a first prize for each category will be awarded.
This is an EDI entry only and due to this being a fun event, placings will not be added to Maitland Camera Clubs competition point score.
18th August-1st Sept photos are taken.
1st Sept is the last day photos can be submitted on line via the Maitland Camera Club website by 11:45pm.
1st Sept -9th Sept photos will be judged.
10th Sept the images will be displayed and the judge will comment on each image and present each category winner with an award.
From the 18th of August the six categories and a map will be available on line via the Maitland Camera Club’s website. You then have two weeks to wander around Maitland to find and take photos within those categories. You can enter up to two images per category but you do not have to enter all categories if you don’t want to.
How you interpret each category is totally up to you. You can be straight forward, think outside the box or be as creative as you like, except for monochrome, this must be in black and white or in varying tones of only one colour.
Getting a small group together is a great idea for a fun few hours if you feel so inclined, and for safety reasons it would be preferable if you were with at least one other person to keep you company. The most important thing is to have fun.
